How Setting Intentions Instead of Resolutions Saved My 2024
I’ve learned over the years that the universe has a peculiar sense of humor. Call it irony or maybe satire, but life doesn’t always go the way you want it to. This creates a challenge when you establish resolutions - those firm “I will make this change” in established behavior patterns in a new year. Resolutions are firm and fixed. I prefer intentions, which allow you to adapt to those curveballs that the universe likes to send your way.
In the December 19 edition of my newsletter, Reading Between the Lines, I share how I approach setting intentions instead of resolutions and how a shift in thinking enabled me to get through what was a very unexpected 2024.
